The Story Behind Kris Kirkpatrick and Leisure Valley Pools
Kris Kirkpatrick is born and raised in Nova Scotia, he calls Annapolis Valley his home. At the young age of 13, Kris started cleaning a pool at a local farm as summer employment which kick started his love for pools, spas and the leisure life long before he even realized.
During his teenage years he continued to work on local pools and hot tubs, and was more than pleased to have been hired on for a well known pool installation company. He stayed here for a few years where he learned more than the basic needs for installation and servicing.
While on a installation service at the local community collage, Kris began to get more familiar with the Horticulture Department and it was not long before he was enrolled and excelling at his studies. This program took his studies internationally and also won him the Landscape Nova Scotia award for his program. This programmed elevated his work beyond his expectations because he could now beautifully and properly construct landscapes while installing products.
After he finished his program his life took him to Alberta where he worked at an upscale resort maintaining their pools. Kris made his way back to Nova Scotia. Kris continued to install and service pools, while landscaping around the Annapolis Valley. After his partner lost her job they uprooted to New Brunswick and they called this home for 7 years.
Kris quickly found employment with a successful pool and hot tub company and befriended the owner and his wife very quickly. Kris learned much of his knowledge during this time. Such properly installing of splash pads, different types of pools, lay outs, turn-key products and much more. During these 7 years Kris got married and had a little boy. With the new addition they found it hard to be far away from their families which still resided in the Annapolis valley.
With a heavy heart for leaving their New Brunswick life behind they were excited to start a new chapter in Nova Scotia. They relocated back to their home province and with the help of my fellow peers, friends, and of course family Kris started Leisure Valley Pools & Spas.
